As the only global boxing series in which athletes remain eligible to participate in the Olympic Games, the World Series of Boxing is establishing itself as a professionally run tournament in which the protection and safety of the boxers is one of the top priorities. Not only will boxers in the WSB benefit from the latest developments in sports science and a world-leading concussion-management system, they will also be given the fairest possible conditions for competing thanks to comprehensive anti-doping rules that have been declared fully in line with the WADA Code. No other professional boxing organization has WADA-compliant anti-doping rules.

The World Series of Boxing recognizes the importance of anti-doping programs for the preservation of the spirit of sport and the essence of fair play. It therefore developed anti-doping rules that were designed from the outset to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code, the document which harmonizes anti-doping policies in all sports and in all countries. The resulting WADA-compliant WSB Anti-Doping Rules, which all WSB participants must acknowledge and sign, cover all aspects of testing (both in and out of competition) and the sanctions for anti-doping violations.

Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the WSB, welcomed the news, saying "As the WSB is an initiative of AIBA, the world governing body for boxing, we want the tournament to be governed with the highest level of professionalism at all levels. Receiving confirmation from WADA that the WSB Anti-Doping Rules are compliant with the WADA Code is a concrete example of this."
