Wu Shu Ky Joins KMS

The Wu Shu Ky Kickboxing Club have just completed formalities to become members of the Kunsill Malti għall-Isport (KMS) (Malta Sport Council).

The Mosta based club is managed by Master Silvio Camilleri who has been teaching martial Arts in the Maltese islands for over 22 years. 

Master Camilleri believes that ‘Martial Arts Is Not A Destination But A Journey Through Life’ and joining the KMS in another important stage in that journey.

The WSK club has is also a member of the World United Martial Arts Federation (W.U.M.A) which is one of the biggest UK based federations.

The Wu Shu Ky has been participating annually in the international W.U.M.A championships since 2003 and through out the past eight years many Maltese, Martial Arts Athletes have participated with success in these championships and done both club and country proud with their positive results and sportsmanship.

This year will be no exception and Master Silvio Camilleri accompanied by assistant coach Kenneth Scerri will shortly be departing for Italy, with a Maltese team of martial arts fighters, hailing from mixed disciplines and clubs for the annual W.U.M.A world championships.

The Wu Shu Ky team will be composed of: Clayton Portelli, Damion Caccatiolo, Tyrone Muscat, Christopher (former winner) Bezzina, Chris Said, Darren Scerri and Matthias Christano, who at age 14 is the youngest local participant. The team will be participating in the disciplines of Kickboxing, Muay Thai and K1.

Master Camilleri considers the Malta participation as a great occasion to gain more experience and establish new friends on the international fighting-sport circuit.
