Ukraine Refuses Pakistani Pugilists
Ukraine refused to issue visas to Pakistani pugilists taking part in the - Makar Mazai Memorial International boxing tournament – being held in the Ukraine capital between the 6th and 12th July.
According to Pakistani press reports the four boxers and three officials were refused visas after the Ukraine embassy had insisted that the PBF (Pakistani Boxing Federation) produce the boxers and officials for an interview at the embassy in Islamabad, which apparently the PBF failed to do.
The PBF is now facing a loss of around Rs 185,000 for their pre-paid flights, unless the Ukraine authorities have a change of heart and issue the visas.
