Floyd Mayweather - Summer Camp
Las Vegas, Nevada. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is certainly doing his part to spread and support boxing amongst youth.
This Monday the 5th of July, he will be opening the “Mayweather Boxing Club Summer Camp" for boys and girls – free of charge – at his Las Vegas Gym.
The camp will be financed by "The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation" (TFMJF), which was founded in 2007.
Boxingscene quoted Mayweather the founder of "TFMJF Camps” as saying "For me it is very important to give young people the opportunity to be part of this community to be active and learn new skills and knowledge. This is one of the main objectives of the fund Floyd Mayweather Jr. (TFMJF)", “The Mayweather Boxing Club Summer Camp will be an excellent opportunity for these children who will learn the basics of boxing, as well as learn valuable life lessons that will be useful in sports and life."
"Without boxing, I would not today be who I am" - continued Mayweather. "Give them the chance to learn more about the sport - an exciting opportunity for me. This camp is one more step for my Foundation, which continues to have a positive impact on young people."
Training camp will be held from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Each of the camp participants, 150 boys and girls aged 5-18 years old from Las Vegas and other cities across the country will be able to get a boxing lesson, learn boxing skills, for example, floor exercise, fighting with a shadow, work on speed and power on bags.
