Angle GladneyAngel Gladney fights at, Turning Stone Casino in NY Columbia’s, Own Female Sensation, Angel “Non-Stop” Gladney (won 6 (KO 5) + lost 1 (KO 1) + drawn 1 = 8) will take her show on the road this coming Saturday to face the tough veteran, Jackie Trivilino (won 3 (KO 1) + lost 2 (KO 0) + drawn 1 = 6).

A native of New York, Gladney will head north to the Turning Stone Casino in New York State to fight on the under card of an action packed card being co-promoted by Palmetto Boxing Promotions. The fight will take place Saturday June 26th.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On June 30, 'The Hurricane' Ana Julaton, faces Maria Elena Villalobos for the vacant WBO super bantamweight title a day before Canada day in a fight that will be televised nationally on TSN. Her last bout at the same venue was sold out and the same turnout is expected on June 30. The bout will also be televised through GMA Pinoy TV in the Philippines.

 

Ina Menzer

 

WBC/WBO/WIBF female featherweight world champion Ina Menzer will be seeing action at “Universum Champions Night” at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart on July 3, 2010. Ina will be facing a yet to be determined opponent.

June 19 Florida: Chubirka wins by majority decision. At the Deauville Beach Resort, Marianne Chubirka, 112.5, made a successful comeback to the sport when she won a four-round Majority decision over Denise Jacobs, 113.75. The final judge’s scores were 40-36, 39-37, and 38-38.

 

 

 

 

 

 

World Olympic lightweight champion Katie Taylor (23) bounced backed from her recent injury to claim gold and the woman fighter of the tournament at the Haringey Cup at Alexandra Palace, London 17 to 20 of June (2010).

Taylor, chalked up a convincing majority decision over Ingrid Egner of Norway.Yesterday’s win arrived 24 hours after Taylor hammered Swiss lightweight Sandra Brugger, who she stopped in the second round of the 2007 European 60kg final in Denmark, in the Box Cup semi-finals.

 

The first “Extraordinary Women Of The Ring” book signing in the USA was at the Women’s Golden Gloves in Hollywood, Florida on June 17-19. Boxer’s Alicia Ashley, Bonnie Canino and Barbara Buttrick, who are in the book were there with Mary Ann Owen author/photographer doing book signings. Many fans were purchasing multiple copies of the book. Book signings are planned for Las Vegas, New Mexico, California and NYC. “Extraordinary Women Of The Ring ” is the first book of its kind to focus on women’s boxing.
