Ireland takes home one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

Paddy Barnes claimed gold earlier this following a magnificent 4-1 victory over Elvin Mamishzade of Azerbaijan in the light-flyweight class.

This is the first Gold Medal for Ireland in 19 years of participation in the European Boxing Championships. This edition was held at the, Ice Palace in, Moscow.

 

 

 

 

Russia takes home seven gold medals and one bronze. Giving the Russian team, a tally of eight medals.

Great Britain - had to settle for three silver medals at the European Championships. British head coach Robert McCracken although upbeat about his team's final day, was clearly un-happy with the competition judging at times.
