Mr. Benny Pace
Today “The Malta Boxing Federation” unites it self with all Maltese sporting bodies and with the Maltese sporting public in expressing our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Benny Pace.
Mr. Pace who was the Secretary General of the Maltese Olympic Committee between 1964 & 1968 was also involved in Maltese Boxing during the sixties and seventies as the Secretary General of the “Malta Boxing Association”, he was also an established journalist, sport editor and held administrative positions in various Maltese sporting bodies and committees.
Mr. Pace will be remembered in the annals of Maltese sporting history as the person who created the “Malta Sports Persons Awards” (l-Ghazliet Sportivi Nazzjonali) he was also inducted into the Maltese Olympic Committee ‘Hall of fame’ for his contribution to sport journalism & his work in the field of sport administration.
He will be greatly missed by all.

Il-President u d-Diretturi tal-Kumitat Olimpiku Malti jinghaqdu mal-assocjazzjonijiet affiljati u mal-pubbliku sportiv Malti biex iwasslu l-kondoljanzi lil Familja Pace wara illi thabbret il-mewt tas-Sur BENNY PACE, ex-Segretarju Generali tal-Kumitat Olimpiku Malti bejn l-1964 – 1968.
Il-Kumitat Olimpiku Malti iddiskriva lis-Sur Pace bhala ‘ l-bniedem illi permezz tal-gurnalizmu tal-isport witta t-triq ghal amministrazzjoni tal-isport fi hdan bosta ghaqdiet tal-isport li tant ghen fis-snin 60 biex dawn setghu jkunu organizzati ahjar’.
Is-Sur Benny Pace , li kien wkoll il-bniedem li holoq l-Ghazliet Sportivi Nazzjonali u kellu sehem f’numru kbir ta’ghaqdiet nazzjonali tal-isport, fl-2007 kien iddahhal mill-KOM fil-Hall of Fame ghas-sehem tieghu fil-gurnalizmu u fl-amministrazzjoni tal-isport Malti.
