Maltese Olympic style boxers will be leaving for Cardiff Wales for two weeks of training in local clubs in the Cardiff area.

The two boxers are Haithem Laamous who represented Malta at the AIBA World Championships in Milan and Clint Grech.

The trip was made possible thanks to Mr. Nino Spiteri a Gozitan who lives in Wales and has been involved in boxing for many years.

Mr. Spiteri is regarded as the Maltese MBF representative in Wales and is very active in helping Maltese Boxing.

This trip is part of a boxer, friendship exchange program were boxers from both countries will host each other and in doing so share a new experience in training and in comradeship.

Other boxing exchanges are in the pipeline with English clubs, these are being organized by Mr. Julian Borg also of Maltese decent and Mr. Glen Saffer who was recently in Malta as an official in a clubs competition between Malta and UK.
