The Executive Committee of the MBF has just announced changes to the MBF statutes.

At an extraordinary meeting of the MBF held at St Paul’s Social Club at St Paul’s Bay on the 17 December 2010 the Executive voted unanimously for changes in the statutes regarding new affiliation regulations and yearly dues.

Under the new rules boxing athletes have to be affiliated and the yearly fee paid up for a minimum of three months before they can compete at any level.

The amendments or additions to the statutes will be published on line after the next meeting of the Executive.

During this meeting Ms Gemaine Magro was removed from her position as Women’s Commissioner, Ms Magro has not attended any meetings for many months and all efforts to contact her had failed.

The next meeting of the executive will be held on the 21 of January 2010
