The marketing director of the World Boxing Federation, Gianluca Di Caro, has just been on a short visit to Malta, in preparation for the WBF Convention, which will see boxing delegates from all over the world conjugate in these islands

During his visit Gianluca met with officials from the Malta Tourism Authority, The Malta Sport Council and toured the Venue and hotels which would be involved in this convention.

While being interviewed the WBF official said that he was very satisfied from the reception and cooperation he got from every-one and that he thought that Malta was the ideal venue for this gathering of officials from the world of boxing, he also announced that for this occasion the WBF would be organising a boxing show, with a world title fight headlining the event.

Gianluca explained the conference and delegation would be hosted at the ‘Fortina & Spa Resort’ the competition venue would be the Oracle Hall, at the ‘Dolmen’ and the boxers, coaches & corner assistants, would be accommodated at ‘The Bugibba Hotel’.

The WBF director thanked everyone for their cooperation, especially the officials from the MTA and KMS who had done their utmost in giving the necessary assistance which would insure that this important event would be a success story.
