Manny Pacquiao To Dedicate Nov 13 Fight To John Arum
Manny Pacquiao said he will dedicate his upcoming fight against Antonio Margarito to "...John Arum and the entire Arum family."
Pacquiao will take on Margarito on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
John Arum, 49, passed away last week while on a hike in the North Cascades National Park which is located north of Seattle, Washington."John was an (environmental) lawyer who fought for the people, the same way I fight for the people of the Philippines," Pacquiao said. "Bob Arum is my promoter and my friend. I want to do this for the entire Arum family." Michael Koncz, chief advisor for Pacquiao, said "Manny asked me to go to Las Vegas and tell Bob personally, which I did."
Pacquiao said "I will do my best against Margarito. He is bigger and stronger."

David Haye “You're going to get violated in that ring”
The Sun yesterday reported the shocking how BOXING hero David Haye shocked his fans on Tuesday by claiming his showdown with fellow Brit Audley Harrison would be "as one-sided as a gang rape".
The WBA heavyweight champ launched the astonishing rant at a press conference to announce November's title fight.
It shocked even hardened observers used to publicity-hungry fighters making over-the-top outbursts.
On Wednesday night Viv Hayes, boss of the Women's Resource Centre, said: "I'm horrified that anybody could say something which trivializes such an extremely serious crime.
"We know only too well the effects of rape and gang rape on women and their families.
"I really would like David Haye to find out some actual information about rape and then perhaps make a donation to one of the many struggling rape crisis centres in the UK."
Haye, 29, went eye-to-eye with 2000 Olympic gold medallist Harrison, 38, in Vauxhall, South London. And he warned him: "You're going to get violated in that ring."
Haye's spokesman was later unavailable for comment.

Ricky Burns received a hero's welcome on Tuesday night
When he appeared in front of football fans at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The Coatbridge star lifted the WBO super-featherweight title against Roman Martinez on Saturday night at Kelvin Hall.
His against-the-odds achievement made the front and back pages of the newspapers, and made Burns an overnight sensation and he got a standing ovation when introduced to the crowd during Scotland's European Championship qualifying game against Lichenstein.
"It was a great feeling, and the response I got has made all the more determined to reign as a world champion for a very long time," said Burns.

Guillermo Rigondeaux of Cuba
On November 13th, the supporting bout to the WBC light-middleweight title fight, Manny Pacquiao against Antonio Margaritois deserves its share of attention.
After just six pro bouts - all wins, 5 inside the distance - two-time Olympic gold medal winner and all round amateur standout Guillermo Rigondeaux of Cuba will challenge for his first “world” title on the Texas bill. Taking on the experienced Ricardo Cordoba of Panama, 29-year-old Rigondeuax, known as “The Jackal,” will be trying win the interim version of the WBA super-bantamweight title after less than eighteen months of pro experience.

Danny Green title defense
Australian IBO cruiserweight king Danny Green will make the fourth defense of his title on Nov. 17 against unbeaten Chandler, Ariz., resident, B.J. Flores at Challenge Stadium, Perth, Western Australia.

Former World Champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora, who will face Five-Time World Champion Sugar Shane Mosley and former World Champion Daniel Ponce De Leon, who will face top-rated contender Antonio Escalante on September 18 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles hosted a media workout today at the Montebello PAL Gym.
Also on hand were rising East LA star Frankie Gomez, top-rated female contender Kaliesha “Wild Wild” West and others.

Sam Soliman back
Former world title challenger Sam Soliman (38-11, 16 KOs) will be back in action on September 23 when he will clash with Pradeep Singh (15-2-1, 8 KOs) over twelve rounds at the Atrium Room, in the Flemington Racecourse at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Soliman holds wins over several world rated middleweights and super middleweights including Sakio Bika and Enrique Ornelas.

Marcos Maidana complains
WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) reportedly sent a letter to the World Boxing Association in an effort to have them make him the mandatory challenger for WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s). Maidana, if successful with his letter, will then be able to force Khan to fight him or else he’ll be stripped of his WBA title by the WBA.
